Sources
Retail, grooming, veterinary and adoption listings come from the operators’ own published store and clinic locators, including Petbarn, Greencross Vets, Petstock, Jim’s Dog Wash and Blue Wheelers. Parks, beaches and off-leash areas come from council and land-manager pages. Shelter and pound listings come from RSPCA state bodies, welfare organisations, PetRescue group records and council shelter pages. Each listing links to the page it was taken from.
The postcode and locality index is a community-maintained snapshot of Australian postcodes: 3,175 postcodes and 18,518 localities. It is not a guarantee of every current Australia Post code or council boundary.
Limits you should know
Chain listings reflect the operator’s locator at the date checked. Stores close, clinics move and services are added or withdrawn. Mobile grooming entries describe a service territory, not a shopfront you can walk into. Council rule summaries exist for a small share of councils so far, and the council link remains the authority in every case.
